For those with stress levels that are considered themselves to be at the ‘HIGH’ end of stress where you feel you can’t cope or do not know how to overcome it, then Person Centred Counselling and some EFT might just be the help you need. If stress encompasses a loved one then perhaps Relationship Counselling might help. The point of any therapy is to give you a platform to have space to have a voice and find a way to live your life within your own perimeters. In this capacity ‘the self’ can learn how to be autonomous and strive with independence.

In the short term stress can be seen as positive as it motivates an individual to move forwards. However, sustained and long term stress can lead to some heavy consequences including heart attacks.

What Is Stress?

Stress can be identified as many things, from external to internal perceptions of choice. It is a feeling of being overwhelmed or situations related to feeling trapped and isolated. Stress can be an emotional response, or even a physical or mental one. As an example, stress can display like a headache, or the mind running away with itself through self-doubt leaving the person quivering. We all come up against change which often involves coping with psychological and physical adjustments.
